Drummer is proof miracles happen. He was accidentally kicked in the skull by a sheep when he was 8 weeks old.
He was so terrified of sheep he would go NO where near them for a year. Two years, two vets, and two
chiropractors later, it was finally diagnosed by Dr. Mike Masterson, that Drummer wasn't crippled because of bad
conformation/bad breeding, as the "experts" kept insisting,  but that instead, the strike on his skull had caused a
compression in his thorasic vertabrae that was impinging on the nerve flow to the right front leg. With intensive
therapy, ( it seemed we lived at Dr. Mike's office for awhile), Drum was soon out working stock.

After that first year of being afraid of stock, I started Drum on ducks. He loved them. They are still his first love.
Once his leg was sound, he started on sheep....cautiously at first. Now, he is both my trial dog, and my working
stockdog. Drum has taken over Reva's duties of sorting sheep, loading the trailer, and helping when I need to do
medical chores, worming, shots, etc.

For a dog who wanted no part of sheep, he's earning a shining start to his sheep career.
